Those who venture into the National Park Chapada dos Veadeiros in the province of Goiás and 240 km from Brasilia - Brazil's capital, will have the opportunity to visit one of the last reservoirs of water on the planet, and swim at the foot of waterfalls 150 meters tall , as will be able to walk on the land 1600 million years old.
Located in the heart of Brazil on a huge plateau known as Planalto Central, Chapada dos Veadeiros enchants visitors with its beauty, and it exhales a special feeling of wellbeing. Lençóis was revealed after the discovery of diamonds in the region during the nineteenth century. The population of 30 000 people declined when there started mines in South Africa, initiating a period of decline.
It was declared a national monument to constitute an example of residential architecture in the nineteenth century. The Chapada Diamantina region is the subject of important studies in botany from the Royal Botanic Gardens of England for its unusual fauna and flora.
The view from the top of the plateau of the mountains is speechless! There are plenty of waterfalls and the best known is the cascade of smoke , 340 meters high and the second highest in Brazil. Smoke or fumes, so is its name, due to the high altitude, the water evaporates before reaching the ground generating high and refreshing clouds of water.
The rainy season begins in November and lasts until February, while it rains in June and July with less intensity. They are usually heavy summer rains, but do not cause problems during the excursions. In August, the dry period starts, which lasts until November, and is the best time to see orchids blooming.
Starting from Salvador , the journey lasts 6 hours, and it is a kind of geology, geography and botany class, as the route leaves the subtropical vegetation of the coast and heads into fertile fields until it reaches dry land, the enigmatic Sertoes, to finally arrive at Chapada with its huge variety of wild orchids and bromelias.


Located in the province of Mato Grosso, in the geodesic center of South America and at a point equidistant between the Atlantic and Pacific; it is accessed from the city of Cuiabá by 76 km of beautiful route and is part of the environmental reserves of the region of Pantanal.

All this beauty adds to the strange bewilderment that generate the magnetic phenomena occurring at the site, as to leave the car stopped with no brakes on a slope and while it is expected to go down, instead it goes up.


Located southwest of the province of Mato Grosso do Sul and 227 km from the capital Campo Grande, its name speaks for its beauty and its incomparable natural wealth.
